Myanmar hosted the 14th world Chinese Entrepreneurs convention which began on Friday and is set to conclude on Sunday.
The World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) is the largest event for global Chinese business community held every two years.
This year’s convention theme is “An opening economy in Myanmar - A New epoch in history”.
Chairman, Myanmar Chinese chamber of commerce, Myint Shwe said “The world Chinese entrepreneurs met in here for making business with Myanmar businessmen. There will be many sectors including electricity, construction, infrastructure and industry. If the entrepreneurs invest here in Myanmar, there will be more and more job opportunities - commodity prices will also decrease, I think.”
Around 2400 merchants participated at the convention. The Chinese Merchants eyes industry and infrastructure sectors to invest.
Vice chairman, Myanmar Chinese chamber of commerce, Khin Maung Aye said “They, the Chinese entrepreneurs, will talk about how to get success in business - they are also looking for business partners via this convention which can help them know about the situation of business in Myanmar. I think Myanmar needs to develop infrastructure sector.”
The 15th world Chinese Entrepreneurs convention will be held in England.
