AFC U-16 Championship 2018 qualifiers (Group H) matches begin at Thuwunna Football Stadium in Yangon on Monday evening.
Myanmar will play against China, and Republic of Korea against the Philippines.
Myanmar U-16 players were trained to be strong enough to play against with the opponents, Head Coach of Youth National Team said.
Head Coach, Myanmar U-16 Team, Nyi Nyi Latt said “The opponent teams are the top teams in Asia. So we trained our U-16 players with a good strategy to play for the best and to be strong enough. I believe our Myanmar team will be able to play well to have good results.”
Group H includes Republic of Korea, China, Myanmar and the Philippines. It’ll be a tough competition, head coach of the Philippines team said.
Head Coach, Philippines U-16 Team, Roxy Dorlas said “It's gonna be a really tough competition. We respect every single one of our teams that we’re gonna be playing against. I think we have to be realistic. Both the teams has high spirit, they have a good preparation. I think that if we work hard, we still discipline…we can have a good team performance and hopefully we can have a good result.”
Myanmar will play against Republic of Korea on the 27th of September and against the Philippines on the 29th.
