Bilateral Cooperation: Myanmar And Bangladesh Pledged To Cooperate For Combating Crimes

Bangladesh ensures to pay attention to combat terrorists. Myanmar Police Force also urged them for further investigation and subsequent action during the 4th Central level meeting on Security and Law Enforcement held in Nay Pyi Taw.

Sharing information is also agreed by the both sides, through separate communication channel according to the official joint release after the meeting.

9 points agreement was gained highlighting on holding meetings among the different levels of security forces.

It also includes establishing the Border Liaison Offices at Maungtaw in Myanmar and TakNaf in Bangladesh.

The two sides also agreed to develop the Standard Operating Procedure for sharing information and prevention on illegal Border Crossing.

The two Border Guard Forces also pledged to work together for combating the criminal cases and terrorist acts as well as fighting against trafficking Narcotic drugs and others.

5th Bangladesh – Myanmar Central Level meeting on Border Guarding Forces was also agreed to be held in Bangladesh at the first week of May next year.
