French presidential candidate Fillon holds campaign rally in Paris

10 April 2017

French center-right Republican Party presidential candidate Francois Fillon held a large campaign rally in Paris on Sunday. About 25,000 Fillon supporters gathered at the rally, including former French Prime Minister. Fillon addressed his supporters at the rally, saying that he will never quit and will stay resolved to continue the campaign. Eleven candidates are officially competing to book a ticket to occupy the Elysee Palace in this year's presidential elections. If no contender wins a majority of votes in the first round set for April 23, the two top-score nominees will meet two weeks later for a run-off.
