Pyongyang residents see off nuclear scientists

12 September 2017

North Korean scientists and technicians behind the country's latest and biggest nuclear test were greeted by hundreds in Pyongyang. Their hydrogen bomb is designed to be mounted on its newly developed intercontinental ballistic missile.

The United Nations Security Council has unanimously stepped up sanctions against North Korea over the country's sixth nuclear test on September 3. It also imposed a ban on the country's textile exports and capping imports of crude oil.
