Rakhine Trip: Japanese FM In Maungtaw

Japanese Foreign Minister Mr. Taro Kono visited Maungtaw Township in Rakhine State on Saturday.

The visiting Minister went to PantawPyin Village and inspected the construction of houses. About hundred houses are under construction in the village with the fund provided by the internal and external forces as well as the private donors. The Ministry of Construction is undertaking the project.

Japanese Foreign Minister is on a 3-day visit in Myanmar. He made a trip to Rakhine State before going back home. Japan pledged to provide assistance for development projects in Rakhine State being implemented by the Myanmar Government.
