Ahlone, Kyi Myin Daing and South Okkala townships have the potential for growing the real estate markets of Yangon according to the realtors.
Experts said Yangon city has expanded to west and north sides based on the urban development and population growth.
Convenient transportation to downtown areas, sufficient electricity supply are attractiveness, realtors said people with average living standard are potential buyers for those areas.
GENERAL MANGER, YONE MIN CONSTRUCTION, TIN MAUNG WIN: As downtown area is a commercial hub and has dense population, people are looking for somewhere pleasant and easy transportation. But most people eyes on reasonable housing only.
Mini-condo market is listed on the top in the industry, especially at Hlaing and Bahan townships, a real estate agency, iMyanmar House said.
MANAGING DIRECTOR, IMYANMAR HOUSE, NAY MIN THU: People’s choice depends on their living standard. Although Kyi Myine Daing and San Chaung townships are popular in the market, some people prefers Hlaing and Bahan for mini-condo. Meanwhile Hlaing Thar Yar township goes for low-cost housing.
However, rental market for apartments and condos are performing well, in Sanchaung, South Okkalapa and Yankin townships where lots of SME businesses located, according to realtors.
