SEA Games Football: Myanmar Waiting An Opponent To Face In Semifinal

Football fans gathered and supported Myanmar Vs Malaysia match in front of the City Hall in Yangon on Monday.

Malaysia beat Myanmar with 3-1 in the match, scoring 1st goal in 33rd minute and 2nd goal in 35th minute of the first half.

Myanmar’s fans didn’t lose hope on their team to get the goal in the 2nd half.

Fan, Kyaw Kyar said “If Myanmar loses, they will have more chances to play against Vietnam in the semi-final. But Vietnam is the best team so far in the group stage so I think Myanmar has to try hard a lot.”

Fan, Phyo Wai Zaw said “I think the defenders of Myanmar couldn’t perform well. I expect Myanmar to grab Gold medal. So I still hope to win this match. However, I’m glad Myanmar advances semi-final somehow.”

In the 2nd half, Malaysia secured the 3rd goal in 82nd minute. However, Myanmar’s Than Paing scored the one and only goal of the team in 86th minute.

Fan, Ba Thein said “Although Myanmar lost in this match, we’ve seen that they play with their best. I’m satisfied with that they are advanced to semifinal somehow.”

Fan, Thurein Lin said “I think Myanmar played well although there were few weak points. I’m glad even though they lost. I will always support Myanmar.”

Fan, Yan Naing Htun said “Actually I’m not satisfied that much as Myanmar scored only one goal. But I expect them to earn Gold medal.”

Myanmar advanced the Semi-final as they have 3 wins in the previous matches.
