South Korea’s new president visits the national cemetery

10 May 2017

South Korea's new President Moon Jae-in on Wednesday visited the National Cemetery in Seoul to pay respects to late presidents and patriots of South Korea. Moon was confirmed as president by the National Election Commission earlier on Wednesday. Moon's victory will end months of political turmoil that led to parliament's impeachment of conservative former President Park Geun-hye over an extensive corruption scandal, which a court upheld in March.
