Union Parliament: Bills & Loans Discussed

The Union Parliament held its 5th regular meeting Thursday focusing on the bills and loans. The Parliament recorded the changes of village/village-tract/ town set up in Shan State, Mandalay and Ayeyawady Regions. According to the Union Budget Law 2016, separate fund of over 11.33 Billion Kyats for unexpected natural disasters was clarified. The Union Parliament Legal Affairs and Special Cases Vetting Commission also submitted their reports. Next, the Bill Committee reported findings of the Legal Support Bill for further discussions. The respective ministries discussed getting loans of 125 million US Dollars from the World Bank for Southeast Asia disaster management plan, signing the agreement on Asia Region Forest Cooperation Organization and the MOU on inspection right among the Indian Ocean port countries.
