1st giant panda festival held in southwest China

The first giant panda festival was held in southwest China's Sichuan province on Thursday. Visitors came to Wenchuan County to see the 33 giant pandas at the festival. Wenchuan has a total of 165 giant pandas. Giant pandas have lived in harmony with ethnic groups of Tibetan, Qiang, Hui and Han for hundreds and even thousands of years in this area. They have lived, frolicked around and reproduced here for thousands of years according to the deputy head of Wenchuan. The activity also included an exhibition of giant panda paintings.
