26th Golf Tournament: Myanmar Disabled Sports Federation Organizes The Event

26th Golf Tournament of Myanmar Disabled Sports Federation kicks off at the Mingaladon Defence Services Golf Course in Yangon, Sunday. 

Myanmar Disabled Sports Federation has been holding various sports competitions annually since it was established in 1989.

However, the golf tournament was paused about two years as Myanmar hosted 27th SEA Games in December 2013 and it returned this year according to the Vice-President of Myanmar Disabled Sports Federation.

Vice-President, Myanmar Disabled Sports Federation, Myo Myint: This competition aims to encourage the people with disabilities to be healthy in both mental and physical strength. We will continue organizing it in the next years. I’d like to invite every person with disabilities to participate in this event so far. 

The contestants are very eager to participate in the event as the tournament can support their mental and physical strength.  

Player, Min Naing Oo: Although I didn’t have daily training for this competition, I used to play golf once a week Actually I don’t expect to win or grab prizes and I’m happy encouraging to my friends as well as the contestants. As people like us need to stay healthy and happy than anyone, this kind of sports event are really helpful for us.

This is only one-day event and 16 players participated in this year tournament.
