For the athlete who has everything: self-lacing shoes

Sportswear firm Nike launched a series of new products including self-lacing shoes, transparent air-filled soles and soccer cleats made from a polymer that prevents mud from sticking to the sole at an event in New York on Wednesday.  SENIOR INNOVATOR , NIKE, TIFFANY BEERS          "You take the shoe you just slide it on, when your heel hits the sensor it will automatically close and adjust to a comfortable fit. Then if you want further adjustment you press the tighten button or you press the loosen button, you go about your day, anytime throughout the day you feel uncomfortable you adjust it and then when you're ready to get out of it, you press and hold the loosen button for two second and you're out and it's ready to go the next time you're ready,"

Nike+ users will have exclusive access to new products such as HyperAdapt 1.0, a shoe with an in-sole motor that can tighten and loosen laces to respond to an athlete's motion. Ahead of the Rio Olympics and the European soccer championships, Nike debuted sportswear made from lighter-weight and faster-drying fabric and tiny plastic points on socks and sleeves that are designed to reduce drag for runners.
