Better Network: Postal Reform Plan To Improve Services
Myanmar Postal service promotes their services in term of using modern technique in posting, according to the Postal Reform Plan with technically assistance from JICA. Khine Mar Nay Lin has more.
Since over 2 decades ago and till now, Myanmar post service faces challenges in unable to fulfill people’s needs, according to stakeholders.
At present, officials found out their weaknesses in lack of using IT technique effectively, that causes the working system lag behind, when telecommunication and social network are growing rapidly.
The reform plan aims to introduce better services for people in term of using modern techniques in work.
It has been starting since June this year, focusing on promoting in collecting and delivery systems as well as working process.
As their prominent reforms, Myanmar Post extended their servicing hours as well as making network to potential customers like publication houses and online shopping, instead of waiting for customers at office.

When they become dislike it, we understand that there is nothing else to do but to reform. Even though people become closer because of social media, postal system must be needed for sure to make delivery.
Myanmar Post was established in 1854, and provided services not only across the country, but also with about 120 International countries.
