Building Peace: Interfaith Dialogue Organized By HWPL
An interfaith dialogue, "Building the Future of Peace" organized by an International peace organization, Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) in Yangon, Sunday, aiming to bring peace and build more trust among different religions.
HWPL is a UN DPI associated NGO that aims to transcend differences in cultures, beliefs and regions to achieve peaceful solutions. The ultimate goal of the Association is to end all wars and establish global peace.
The association is doing several activities to spread the news of peace to people around the world.
Leaders from four Interfaith religious groups joined the dialogue, organized by HWPL in Yangon and shared their views on how to build peace in the world based on mutual understanding from different religions.
Venerable Sayadaw, Sitagu International Buddhist Academy, Dr. Ashin Thihanyana Linkara Biwunsa: In the world, 80 % of the conflicts happened because of religion. Interfaith dialogues will solve these religious conflicts and to end the wars as well as to build mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among the different religions and diversity.
The group leaders also discussed the meaning of truth and building trust among each other to reduce conflicts.
Vice Chairman (Islam), Interfaith Dialogue Group Myanmar, Nyunt Maung Shein: Such kind of interfaith dialogues can help mutual understanding of different religions and also share the knowledge on solving the problems to reduce conflicts. Myanmar has four main religions and all should respect to each other. The interfaith groups need to build more trust and understanding by holding such kind of activities.
HWPL has already held such kind of dialogues for 7th times in Yangon and 3 times in Sagaing. The organization has plan to do more such kind of programs in Myanmar.
