China unveils high-resolution pictures of moon surface

A group of complete high-resolution full-color map of the moon taken by China's Chang'e-3 moon lander and the Yutu moon rover have been unveiled. The unveiled pictures have showcased abundant details about the moon, providing a large amount of scientific information for scientists. China's lunar probe Chang'e-3, with the country's first moon rover onboard, successfully landed on the moon on December 14, 2013, marking China's first successful soft-landing on the surface of an extraterrestrial body. Chang'e-3 includes a lander and a moon rover called "Yutu" or Jade Rabbit, whose tasks include surveying the moon's geological structure and surface substances and looking for natural resources. They took a large number of pictures which reveal a wealth of details about the lunar surface.
