DPRK's leader Kim Jong Un inspects landing drills
Democratic People's Republic of Korea, DPRK's state media on Sunday released still photographs of leader Kim Jong Un inspecting military drills. The still photographs were broadcast on the state-run television KRT and showed Kim observing the Korean People's Army, KPA, conducting landing and anti-landing exercises. In the footage, Kim was also seen watching landing crafts approach the shore, as well as rockets being fired and their targets exploding. According to KRT, the drills involved surface ships and sharpshooters from the KPA Navy, pursuit planes from the KPA Air and Anti-Air Force, and artillery sub-units from the KPA. KRT, however, did not specify the dates or the locations of the drills. DPRK on Friday fired at least one ballistic missile which flew about 500 miles before hitting the sea, South Korea's military said. DPRK also said that the state would soon conduct a nuclear warhead test and a test launch of ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads, KRT reported on March 15.
