Education Stipend: Rakhine Thahaya Association (Yangon) provides to 80 university students
Rakhine Thahaya Association (Yangon) provided stipend to 80 university students from Rakhine community in Yangon, Sunday.
The Association started the educational assistance program in 1981 so as to provide the students who have requirements to continue their education.
Chairman, Rakhine Thahaya Association(Yangon), Hla Maung Thein: Our association mainly supports to education and health sectors. We have already provided stipends to 196 university students from Rakhine communities. International donors also provide us to contribute assistance to our people.
The donor said the contribution aims to produce outstanding persons for the country and provide the future education plan of the students.
Donor, Khin Hla Maw: I am very satisfied to my donation. This is my 5th time donation. I want to provide more assistance to the students who cannot afford to attend university. We feel so satisfied when we see the smiling faces and happiness of the children.
The studentwho get the stipend from the Association said the assistance will really supportive for his education.
Second Year, University of Medicine, Kyaw Kyaw Myint: The association will provide 20 thousand kyats monthly. I really thank the association for its contribution and I will try my best in my education.
