File footage shows North Korea’s previous missile launches

A failed attempt by North Korea to launch a missile was detected at 2200 GMT on Wednesday from the northwestern city of Kusong, U.S. Strategic Command said. The North American Aerospace Defense Command determined the missile launch did not pose a threat to North America, U.S. Strategic Command said in a statement, adding that it was presumed to be a Musudan intermediate-range ballistic missile. North Korea on Sunday (October 16) fired what it believed was a Musudan missile, an intermediate ballistic missile, but it reportedly failed immediately after launch, according to the U.S. and South Korean militaries. North Korea conducted its fifth and biggest nuclear test on September 9 and South Korea says it believes the North is ready to conduct another test at any time.
