Film Festival : Union Minister Meets Artists For Democracy Week

The second coordination meeting for Myanmar Democracy Week  Film festival was held at the MRTV meeting room in Yangon, Saturday. 
Union Minister for Informaiton Dr. Pe Myint pointed out to make films that contribute to democratic trends.
Artists also discussed to shoot the film reflected the time and to impart the democratic sprit to the citizen.  
Director Mg Thura/Zaganar: We will shoot films and TV movies for the festival. We organized formation of  committee for story. We will try to shoot all films in  March and have targeted to finish in June. The post production is targeted in July in order to get everything done in time in Democracy day. It is not the policy film. The citizen of democratic country should understant the right and responsibility for them. I think that this is the first democratic educative film for Myanmar and South East Asia.
Participants discussed selection of directors, actors and actresses and stroy scripts.
Director Kyi Phyu Shin : Democracy is concerned with all the citizens. We will invite directors and film story scripts to shoot these films. We decided to shoot the films as TV movies and films. Ministry of Information will take TV movies. The profits will contribute to the education, health and social necessary places, said the officials. We have a meeting in 7 January for the story and  meeting for final script in 15 January. 
Totally, 7 films including full-length TV movies will be shown at Democracy Day in  the 15th  of September.
