Football Tournament: Competition For U-16 Students

Yangon Region Education Organization hosts with Success Private High School the Under-16 Boys Football Tournament aiming to discover talented players who can compete in international events. 

252 players from 18 teams of basic education schools in 14 districts of Yangon Region join the tournament. 

 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes await winners of the tournament and four best players will be selected as well. This event aim to improve their talents and skills.  

District Education Head Officer , Maung Kye: “The purpose of organizing this football competition is to breed the young football players from the schools of 14 townships in Yangon eastern district and to improve their talent.”

Success Private High School donated about 2 million kyat for this program to help raise football skills among players.   

Donor , Success Private High School , Hla Phone Oo: “I, myself, am interested in football. I’d like to give supports to the children so that they can play football without any difficulties. It will help them pursue their hobby and make their way for their future. I am really happy to sponsor this festival. I will contribute more and more in future.”

The event will be run from September 2 to 9 at Padetha Stadium in Yangon.
