Hugh Jackman, Taron Egerton on real-life inspired film "Eddie the Eagle"

Hugh Jackman, Taron Egerton and former British Olympian Eddie Edwards walk the blue carpet for the European premiere of "Eddie the Eagle". The film is inspired by the true story of Michael 'Eddie' Edwards, an unlikely sportsman who became the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping. Despite his relatively poor performance at the 1988 Calgary games, Edwards captured the hearts of fans and the media with his enthusiasm and never-say-die attitude. Director Dexter Fletcher was full of praise for his lead actors Jackman and Egerton. He described the pair as "very open, relatable, easy going guys" and added that he had wanted to create a film "that was fun and full of heart".
