MOEAF’s Code Of Conduct: Over 120 Local Overseas Employment Agencies Signed
Over 120 local overseas employment agencies signed the code of Conduct for the members of Myanmar Overseas Employment Agencies Federation (MOEAF), in Yangon, Friday.
MOEAF developed the code of conduct with the technical support from ILO, aiming to support the quality services and improve ethical practices in the process of recruiting Myanmar workers for overseas employment.
CEC Member , MOEAF, Myo Win Yin: The employment agencies who signed in this code of conduct need to agree with rules and regulations, as well as to strive to achieve the aspiration goals, and to be complied the monitoring process according to the procedures described in the code. We will also form Code Compliance and Monitoring Committee (CCMC), comprising with ILO, MOEAF, MoLIP and workers representative and other professionals to monitor the employment agencies which are signed in the Code of conduct for assessing their performances.
Currently, MOEAF has over 262 member agencies and among them, over 120 agencies signed the code of conduct.
Managing Director , Win Phyo Aung Co., Ltd., Hnin Nwe Aye: Our company has already sent over 200 workers to Thailand. As we are the member of MOEAF, we signed the code of conduct and we want to provide secure migration process.
MOEAF has a plan to raise awareness among other employment agencies which are not signed yet the code of conduct.
