Parliament : Educational Affairs Focused
Questions on education sector were influenced at the ongoing session of Pyithu Hluttaw People’s Parliament in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.
MPs raised the questions concerning the promotion of PAT and JAT teachers as well as for the teachers from previous Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) who are now serving under the Ministry of Education.
Union Minister for Education Dr. Myo Thein Gyi replied that they will make a promotion for PAT and JAT teachers depending on the services and will also conduct promotion for the teachers from MOST under the policy and rules of Ministry of Education.
MPs also asked to reopen the Government Technology Training from North Oakkalapa township. The Union Minister replied that they have a plan to reopen as a short course vocational training in coming fiscal year.
Concerning the questions on safety measures of the schools near the mining excavation in Kayah State, the Union Minister replied that they will make survey and build new schools in safety areas if necessary.
For renovation of Sinde BEHS in Padaung township, the Union Minister replied that the renovation will be made by allotting fund from ordinary budget during this fiscal year.
Two proposals on construction of housings for teachers who are serving in rural areas, and laying down the exact policy for teaching methods in basic education schools were also discussed.
