Pentaque Tournament: Myanmar To Join In Women’s Event

Myanmar will participate in Malaysia Open Petanque tournament to be held in Kuala Lumpur according to Myanmar Petanque Federation. 6 athletes in two teams of Myanmar will join in the tournament which will be featuring 10 countries from ASEAN as well as France. 256 teams in men event and 130 teams in women event are included. Myanmar, however, will only participate in women event. Myanmar team has been trained since October last year. Participating in this tournament makes the team more experienced for the upcoming 29th SEA Games, according to Nyein Chan Pyo, coach of the federation. Myanmar Petanque Federation participated in 27th SEA Games and secured 3 golds and 1 bronze and 2 bronzes in 28th SEA Games as well. Myanmar team will leave for Kuala Lumpur on March 4th and the tournament will be held on March 5th and 6th.
