Police hunt Pennsylvania jail escapee suspected of murder

A police search was underway in Pennsylvania for an inmate who escaped from prison, NBC reported. Authorities were hunting for 38-year-old Robert Crissman who is now suspected of killing a woman in her home and considered extremely dangerous, local media said. Officers converged on the town of Rayburn, Pennsylvania, after a 55-year-old woman was found dead in her bathroom in a private house, NBC reported. Police have urged the public to get in touch if they spot the man. Crissman was in an Armstrong County jail for violating probation on a drug charge. As part of a work-release program, he was allowed to walk outside the jail to get meals for other inmates from a truck when he escaped. Authorities said they believe Crissman is driving a pickup truck with a Pennsylvania license plate, which belonged to the murdered woman. There were no violent crimes on his record, NBC said.
