SG On Goodwill Tour: SG Met Cambodia DY PM And Exchange Views

Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who was on a goodwill tour of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for National Defense Gen. Tea Banh at the Ministry of National Defense of Cambodia 8th of March.
Present at the call together with the Senior General were Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo,Myanmar Ambassador to Cambodia U Myint Soe and Military Attaché Col Win Ko. Gen. Tea Banh was accompanied by Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence Gen. Sam Vanthan and senior military officers.
At the call, Gen. Tea Banh expressed pleasure for the military cooperation between Myanmar and Cambodia, assuring continuous implementation of the project. He also pointed out that Myanmar and Cambodia have a lot of similarities. The armed forces have the responsibility to help steer the country. Both countries are facing accusations in connection with the human rights issue. The two countries must create a better environment through the process of exchanging experiences.
The Senior General said the visit aims at enhancing military relations and cooperation between the two countries. People of the two countries are the descendents of a single ancestry, who are Theravada Buddhists having the similar culture and agro-based economy. These similarities should be beneficially used. Military cooperation should be promoted. 
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Deputy PM exchanged commemorative emblems and posed for documentary photo.
