Sister City : Mawlamyaing & Fort Wayne

A memorandum of understanding on the establishment of sister city between Mawlamyaing of Mon State and Fort Wayne of Indiana Province of the U.S. was signed at the Mon State Government office, Thursday. Establishment of sister city between Mawlamyaing of Mon State and Fort Wayne has been in discussion since 2012. Programs on education, economy and culture will be exchanged between the two cities later. Chairman of the Sister City Implementation Committee also said they will implement education exchange in 2017 in accord with the meeting. Mon State Development Affairs Minister and the Chairman of Fort Wayne Sister Cities International Inc signed the MoU.
