Skilled Labor : Making Employees Competitive

Basic Short Course for Skill Labor training jointly organized by Ministry of Industry and Ministry of labor, employment and social security kicked off at South Dagon Industrial Zone (3), Wednesday. Myanmar issued Employment and skills development law in 2013 to provide and create a skillful development of labors. This is the second time and aimed to promote the development of the skills standard and credible system of skills. 

Director ,Skills Development Division ,Kyaw Kyaw Lwin : "I believe that this kind of training will develop more the labor skills and can solve the misunderstanding among labor and employers".  

Regional integration through the ASEAN Economic Community paves a way for future development. To compete in an integrated market, Myanmar must address its current challenge of shortage of skilled labor.  

Assistant Director ,SMEs development Department ,Swe Zin Soe : "We started such kinds of training last year. We planned to host such kinds of training in 5 industrial zones for this year. This training will more provide smoothly for industrial operation, team building and team spirit, the understanding among the employees and employers in following the labor law". 

 The training course included labor law, personality ethics, motivation and team work, human relation and communication as well as productivity concept and so on. 

HR staff ,Xenon Co., Ltd ,Myint Thazin Tun : "This is my first time and I learned the rules and regulations of the labors and employers. The employers are needed to provide the assistance and employees also follow discipline. I believe that this training will provide knowledge". 

A total of 35 employees from five industrial zones attended this three day training.
