Startup Opportunities: Sharing Products And Innovations

A Startup Pitching Session on Monday aims to provide a chance to the entrepreneur teams which have been shortlisted by Phandeeyar to share their products and innovation to economic leaders from US and Myanmar.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Charles Rivkin gave remark to entrepreneurs at the event.

Assistant Secretary of State , Economic and Business Affairs, Charles Rivkin: “We believe in investment in Myanmar's people is investment in better future. ...When investors can create partnership and build new roads and bridges or .....more cell phone towers even more banking channels.  And you can get business loan with...and all investment is made in labs like Phandeeyar. So more you can benefit for mentorships and finds the networks and investors you need.”

About 23 entrepreneurs’ teams among over 80 applicants have been shortlisted, and at least four startups will be selected from them. 

Accelerator Manager, Phandeeyar, Collin : “Actually we are chosing about four to eight startups out of 23 that we shortlisted. We are renovating the area for the selected teams and we will give them office space and we closely look at what they are doing and we provide them whatever support they need to help them success.”

The winning teams will be provided the office space, 25,000 US dollars and other economic opportunities.
