Tech Support Center: Plan To Establish Across Myanmar

The World Intellectual Property Organization and the Ministry of Science and Technology said Thursday, Technology and Innovation Support Centers-(TISCs) will be established across Myanmar.

The center is aimed to support access to latest IT information from all over the world that is essential for research institutes, universities and business sectors. These information will be available both from the center and an online platform.

SENIOR PROGRAM OFFICER, WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ORGANIZATION, YE' MIN THAN: We hope people can easily search the latest ICT information happening around the world by establishing TISCs. It will also support the young IT enthusiasts as well as researchers and businessmen because the advanced technology and the latest IT news will be uploaded there. 

DEPUTY DIRECTOR, MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, DR. HNIN NEW AYE: I think it is very useful for us because we can find latest information for the creative ideas there and it will also support for the nation's ICT sector development .

The center is the first of its kind in Myanmar. It is to be connected or linked with counterparts in the ASEAN region.
