Yangon Parliament : 2016-2017 Regional Planning Bill

The 2nd Yangon Region Parliament convened its second day session at the Parliament Building, on Monday. Yangon Region Planning and Economic Minister submitted 2016-2017 Regional Planning Bill for approval of Parliament. The Bill focuses on development of farming, livestock and fisheries, mining and industrial sectors, electricity, construction, transportation, communication, management and trade. It also includes reduction of the use of natural resources in forestry and energy sectors.  Yangon Region Finance Minister also clarified 2016 Budget Bill and later submitted it for approval. Yangon Region in 2016-2017 fiscal year is proposed to spend over 336 billion kyat for development projects which will include road and bridges construction, renovation of stadiums and markets, water distribution, city development, construction for housings for government staff and repaying foreign loans.
