Pyithu Hluttaw: Power Supply And Better Transportation

The 44th day session of Pyithu Hluttaw People’s Parliament continued in Nay Pyi Taw, Tuesday. 

24 hours power supply for locomotive factory and staff housings of Myanma Railway in Insein Township was raised at the session.  

The official replied that over 370 million kyats will be cost to supply 24 hours electricity for locomotive factory and staff housings in Insein Township.

He added that for power supply to staff housings of Myanma Railway in Yangon Region, it will cost over 1800 million kyats. 

The Ministry will provide 24 hours electricity supply depending on the budget allotment during the Ministry’s tenure.

The proposal on urging the Union Government to upgrade the rail transportation to level with the international standard was discussed by 13 MPs.
