Business Making: Myanmar's Largest Machinery & Subcontracting Event
The 3rd Edition of Myanmar's Largest Machinery and Subcontracting Exhibition kicked off in Yangon, Thursday.
The exhibition aims to increase productivity and upgrade industrial sector by bringing new technologies into the Myanmar's manufacturing industry.
It showcases more than 200 pieces of industrial machinery that includes tooling equipment and accessories of the world-class brands from 11 countries.
Managing Director, UBM Asia Ltd. (ASEAN Business), M. Gandhi: "New manufacturing will come here to set up factories. This exhibition is attracting the suppliers that we are placing the foundation of an industrial development. After you build the industrial zone, you need component suppliers. It's all link to each other so this event focuses on the components and parts."
The event will have opportunities to establish linking business networks with leading operators and part-makers from Thailand.
Vice Chairman, Myanmar Industries Association, Dr. Aung Thein: "Myanmar industry need to upgrade their industrial standard by acquiring new technology machinery equipments and also the need to joint venture with some experience partners like Thai supporting industries."
One of the industry leaders said this event is a good opportunity for them to learn the latest technologies for the local industrial development.
Director, Nanova Co., Ltd, Thiri Aung: "This exhibition is for the industrial sectors and the products are for industrial. I come here to find new products and to study new products and new technologies here."
Thai supporting industries association exhibits their outsourcing and components to Myanmar industrialists at the exhibition that will run till Saturday.
