IDP Relocation: 40 Households Moved To New Homes

40 households from IDP camp in KanThaHtwet (c) Ward in MyayPon Township of Rakhine State have been relocated starting April 6.

With the allotted fund of State Government, houses were constructed at the new relocated ward situated at land plot No.39 in east MyayPon. Local authorities also plan to provide assistance for relocated people to start their livelihood.

The communal violence in Rakhine State forced over 140,000 to flee their homes, according to UNOCHA. Most of them are accommodated at Government-designated IDP camps near Sittwe and surrounding Townships.
