India's Taj Mahal gears up to host British royals
The famous monument of love, the Taj Mahal in India, is being redecorated as the city gears up to host British royals Prince William and his wife Kate in a week. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on a six-day trip to India and neighbouring Bhutan, to strengthen ties between the two nations. Among other destinations, the royal couple will visit the Taj Mahal in northern Agra during the last leg of their India tour. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is coordinating with representatives from their entourage to plan the arrangements. Officials of the ASI are actively engaged with refurbishing the 16th century monument built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.
