Korean Drama: New Shows on MRTV
Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange handed over 2 Korean drama series to Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) aiming at cultural exchange. Dramas are about love and romance titled Cinderella’s Sister and A Thousand Days’ Promise. The foundation hopes Myanmar people to understand more about Korean culture and tradition through their dramas.
[SOUND BITE] DIRECTOR GENERAL, KOREA FOUNDATION FOR INTERNATIONAL CULTURE EXCHANGE, KIM DEOK JUNG: "Generally, we found that Myanmar and Korea have a similar culture and tradition. So we would like to make Myanmar people understand more about Korean culture and tradition through Korean dramas. In addition, Myanmar is now developing in all sectors including economy, social sector and so on, and we will partner with MRTV for the development of cultural sector in future."
In addition, 4 programs were also handed over by Korean TV channel, YTN science. Since Korean dramas have been popular among Myanmar audience over a decade, MRTV strongly believes that these 2 dramas and programs will catch the attention of audience.

Korean dramas have been showing on MRTV since 2002, according to MRTV.
