North Korea says conducted 'successful' Hydrogen bomb test
North Korea said Wednesday it had carried out a "successful" hydrogen bomb test. "The republic's first hydrogen bomb test has been successfully performed at 10:00 am (0330 GMT)," North Korean state television announced. "With the perfect success of our historic H-bomb, we have joined the rank of advanced nuclear states," it said, adding that the test was of a miniaturised device. North Korea's state-run television KRT also released still photographs of leader Kim Jong Un ordering the conduct of a nuclear test. According to KRT, Kim signed the documents on Sunday. On the same day, South Korean President Park Geun-hye chaired a National Security Council meeting in Seoul after North's claim. "So now, our government has to take decisive measures against any additional provocations by North Korea and work with the international community to make sure the isolated country pays the price for its latest nuclear test, " Park said during the meeting.
