Rendering Assistance: Union Ministers Met Families Of Police Members
While in Rakhine State, a governmental mission led by Union Minister for Information Dr. Pe Myint and party met with the families of Police Force members at the Commanding Office of No.1 Border Guard Force in Kye Kan Pyin village of Maung Taw township, Thursday. Union Minister Dr. Pe Myint expressed his sorrowful for the deceased of police members at the Border attacks in Rakhine State on 9th October. He also pledged to provide necessary assistance to the families of deceased police members. Union Minister U Thein Swe said this conflict is a national concern and called for them to collaborate in exposing those who violate the laws. The Rakhine State Chief Minister and the deputy ministers said they would provide necessary assistance for regional security and peace. At the meeting, the Union Ministers and officials provided assistance to the families of police members.

Wife of deceased police member, Wah Wah Khine: We heard the sound of gunfire at about 11:00 pm and we ran there. I called him but nobody held up the phone. I knew about my husband's death at about 2:00 pm. On the funeral day, we were shot by guns on the way back. I want to go back home immediately.
Armed attackers targeted Kye Pyin Kan, Nga Khu Ya and Koe Tan Kauk three border posts near Maung Taw in the western part of Rakhine State along Myanmar’s border with Bangladesh early Sunday morning, killing nine policemen and injuring five.
