AFF Suzuki Cup: About 3,000 Members Of Security Force To Be Employed
About 3,000 members of security force including police, fire brigade and steward will be employed in the coming AFF Suzuki Cup.
All group (B) matches will be played in Thuwana YTC stadium in Yangon except for the match between Vietnam and Cambodia which will be held at Wunna Theikdhi stadium in Nay Pyi Taw.
This is the first time Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) hosts the AFF Suzuki Cup, and the Philippines will be co-host for the Group (A) matches.
ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has provided 250,000 US Dollars to MFF, and estimation of 250 million kyats will be added by the federation to host the competition successfully.
9,000 tickets will be sold for special class and 21,000 for ordinary class.
The federation requests the football fans not to do inappropriate actions during the match as it could ban Myanmar to host the international matches for next three years.
Myanmar Football Federation was fined about 150,000 US dollars so far by the AFC’s Disciplinary Committee due to bad behaviour of the spectators.
CEO, Myanmar Football Federation, Phone Naing Zaw: I’d like to request the spectators that we should support the team to win than supporting only when the team wins. If the team is playing very hard during match, I’d like to encourage them to be harmonious with the team in supporting. So we can show that kind of support in the upcoming Suzuki Cup.
AFF Suzuki Cup will be started on November 20 in Yangon with the opening match between Malaysia and Cambodia.
