Peace And Unity: Ruling Party Holds Central Committee Meeting

Patron of ruling party National League for Democracy called for support of the public in the upcoming by-election, at the party’s Central Committee in Yangon on Saturday.

NLD achieved a landslide win in the November 8 General Election last year.

This is the first meeting of the Central Committee after taking State’s duty in March this year. 

The Patron also called for unity among the party members as the country is marching into democratic nation with the force of people. 

Patron, National League for Democracy, Tin Oo: The party members should have more unity than ever, and then we need the people support in the upcoming elections as well. We hope to see the NLD transform into a more democratic structure, in line with the changes taking place in the country.

The Patron also pointed out the importance of prevailing peace in the country as it could lead to build the Federal Union.

Patron, National League for Democracy, Tin Oo: The party’ chairperson led the 21st Century Pang-Long conference, and this is the beginning to achieve the peace in our country. The peace is the only way to get our goal so that we can implement the Democracy Federal Union in the future. 

110 out of 153 members from respective states and regions attended a day-long meeting, and discuss possible changes on the policies of the party.
